Anthropic, the artificial-intelligence company behind the Claude model family, completed a $65 billion Series H funding round in May 2026, achieving a post-money valuation of $965 billion. Amazon committed $5 billion to the round, according to NBC News.
By early August, Anthropic's annualized run-rate revenue had exceeded $47 billion, driven by strong enterprise demand for Claude, sources familiar with the company's finances told Reuters.
The $965 billion valuation already places Anthropic among the most valuable private technology companies. The next threshold being watched in secondary markets is $1.75 trillion, a figure that would require further revenue growth, a new funding round, or an initial public offering.
Anthropic has not announced plans for a new funding round or an IPO. Investors are watching for any quarterly financial update or secondary transaction that could provide a fresh read on the company's private market price.
