Prediction markets now price a 46 percent chance that Bitcoin will reach $67,500 before July ends, down 22 percentage points in the past 24 hours as the cryptocurrency struggles to clear a well-defined resistance band. The Polymarket contract, which closes August 1 at 04:00 UTC, has seen $115,362 in trading volume over the last day as participants reassess the likelihood of a late-month rally.
Technical analysts have converged on $66,600 to $67,600 as the decisive supply zone that Bitcoin must breach to sustain upward momentum. Bitget's July analysis identifies this range as a major resistance area and notes that BTC would first need to reclaim support at $62,450 to build a foundation for any breakout attempt. A separate Polymarket contract tracking which price level Bitcoin will hit in July currently shows the outcome "↓ 65,000" leading at 100 percent, suggesting the broader market expects consolidation or downside rather than a push toward $67,500.
Forecasting models paint a mixed picture for the remainder of the month. Changelly's July 2026 projection estimates an average Bitcoin price of $70,712 and a peak near $75,115, implying significant upside potential if resistance breaks. CoinCodex, however, places the July 24 trading range between $66,207 and $87,141 while maintaining a bearish quantitative outlook for the full year. The firm's model suggests that even if Bitcoin touches the upper end of that range, sustained gains may prove difficult.
With eight days remaining until the market resolves, traders face a binary outcome hinging on whether Bitcoin can mount a decisive breakout above the $66,600 threshold. Changelly's August forecast projects a minimum price near $67,950, indicating that $67,500 may not represent a long-term ceiling even if July closes below that level. The sharp overnight probability decline reflects growing skepticism that the cryptocurrency can muster the momentum needed to clear resistance before the month ends.
